Yes, 8 people do fit in Taid's fishing boat. Dylan, Chunmie, Nathan, Kaya, Ross, Lisa, Claire and EJ went for a boat ride all together one afternoon....
Hi Mom!
We got home today from our annual trek to Beckers Resort on Lake Winnie. Its a vacation and family reunion all in one! The kids had a blast playing with their cousins Brody, Brenley, and Emily and friends Nathan and Kaya. Lots of aunts and uncles and cousins from Iowa, Mississippi, and Alabama joined us this year. Despite the cooler weather and rain, we still got in fishing, swimming, boat rides, and lots of time at the sandbox and park. This was the first year that Claire got to go out to in the boat beyond the river and out to the "big lake" with mom and dad for some fishing. She laughed through the 3 foot swells (while mom turned green) and couldn't believe that we released what we caught (about ten tiny perch). Thanks Taid for the wonderful vacation...the kids and us had a blast! I am sure in a few months Claire will be asking if its time to go to Beckers yet? Unfortunately, when we get home from vacation it means its almost time for school to start. Keep posted...its Claire's first day of Kindergarten really soon!
